CAVANAGH SORICH LAW GROUP SUES DRIVER FOR CROSSING CENTER LINE CAUSING HEAD-ON CRASH

On January 20, 2011, Cavanagh Sorich Law Group filed a lawsuit in the Circuit Court of Cook County on behalf of Mark Rein and his wife, Jane. On August 6, 2010, Mark was driving westbound on Route 38 in Geneva, Illinois when a car crossed the center line and struck his vehicle. Mark was transported by helicopter to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove where he was treated for a shattered hip, broken vertebrae and leg and head injuries. The lawsuit names George H. Smith as the defendant. Smith is currently incarcerated in the Kane County Adult Justice Center awaiting trial for charges related to the collision. The case is entitled Rein v. Smith, Court No. 11 L 744. It is pending before Judge Diane Larsen. To see media coverage of the crash, click below:
